Empowerment Workshops

Prior to Covid, our Founder Ivy led workshops at local women’s shelters, women centric co-working spaces, and other places with the purpose of giving women the foundational tools for transformational growth in all areas of their lives, to share Ivy’s personal experiences and wisdom from her own journey, and to build and strengthen our local community.

Capacity Building

Since 2017, FYP has had 180 interns and volunteers in various roles to help do our important work. Ivy loves to lead and mentor, give the staff meaningful work experience, and help build transferable skills for the future of these incredibly talented and passionate people.

Events

We have had many great fundraising events over the years, but our favorite by far is our Annual Poetry Jam. We bring together a diverse group of spoken word poets who share their artistry and life experiences with us in the most profound and vulnerable way, while at the same time getting us fired up and inspired around the most important issues of our time.
